About Inishowen Oil
Inishowen Oil has been delivering heating oil across this peninsula since 1952. Three generations of one family, the same roads.
Since 1952
In 1952 Charles Kelly started the Inishowen Oil Company in Carndonagh, supplying heating oil to homes and farms across Inishowen. His sons Seamus and Sean took it on after him.
In 1980 the family bought their first gas truck and added a gas division — Inishowen Gas, now the Northwest Gas Company. In 1995 they opened on the Derry side of the border as Foyle Gas.
Today all three are run by Charles's grandsons, Conor and Mark Kelly — the third generation of the family in fuel.
What that means when you order
Seventy-four years on the same roads means we know where the tank is, which lane the tanker fits down, and which houses need the hose run round the back. That is not a small thing on a wet Tuesday in February.
We deliver from 150 litres up to 1,000 — a full standard tank — and we deliver within one working day. Prices include VAT at 13.5% and there is no delivery charge.
The other two
The same family runs Northwest Gas Company for bottled and bulk LPG, and Foyle Gas for bottled gas in Derry. If you need gas as well as oil, or supply on the other side of the border, we will point you to the right one.
